Ascot United Arrows Vs Reeves Rangers Blue
Reeves matched Ascot in skill and effort but paid dearly for lapses in concentration. The final score flattered Ascot and did not do justice to Reeves who for long periods of the game were a match for the Ascot boys.
1st Half
This started off as a very even match with both teams working hard to get an advantage. For the first fifteen minutes, the game went from end to end with both teams having opportunities to score the first goal. It was Ascot who took their chance first and then scored a second goal five minutes later from loose marking at a corner. Reeves were still in the game with crosses from Adam and Josh Avery going across the goal with no one waiting in the centre. Despite the Reeves pressure, Ascot scored twice more in the 23rd and 28th minutes to lead 4–0 at half time.
Half Time score 4-0
2nd Half
Reeves came out in the second half in a determined manner. They mounted a number of attacks and defended strongly with Josh Richards clearing a certain goal off the line. However it was Ascot who scored in the 18th minute to take their tally to five. Further goals came in the 22nd, 24th, 25th and 26th minutes. This four minute period was a body blow to the team but they pulled themselves together to score a fine consolation goal in the last minute. Josh worked the ball up the right wing and crossed to Alex who slotted the ball into the net. The match finished 9-1 but the score could have been a lot closer if Reeves had marked their men more tightly.
Final score 9-1

Lyne FC Pumas Vs Reeves Rangers Blue (Cup)
Final Score: 3 - 1
In this Cup match, Reeves came up against a very determined and well drilled side that never allowed them to settle on the ball. It was good to see the Reeves boys keeping their discipline and working together throughout the whole of the match.
Prior to the start, we had a minutes silence to commemorate Remembrance Day.
1st Half
Straight from the kick off, Lyne showed their intent by competing for every ball and not giving Reeves the opportunity to settle. For the first five minutes the game was pretty even, until a through ball allowed the Lyne No. 9 to break through from just inside the Reeves half and, with only the goalkeeper to beat, put Lyne in the lead. From the restart Reeves were under pressure with a series of attacks from the Lyne right wing, could have been further behind if it was not for Alexander smothering one attack and Phil clearing the ball off the line in another.
Reeves continued to work hard and compete for every ball. It was not until mid way through the half that Reeves had their first shot on goal. This seemed to settle the boys and was followed by a good long range shot from Josh. Soon after that Adam made a neat pass to Seunghyun whose shot was just wide. With only a couple of minutes of the half remaining, Seunghyun provided a fine cross from the right for Elliott to slot the ball home and even the score. The first half ended with the Lyne No. 9 once again making a powerful run from inside his own half with the Reeves defenders in pursuit. His shot hit the post and was cleared by Phil who had chased all the way back.
Half Time score 1-1
2nd Half
Just as in the first half, the Lyne players harried the Reeves boys and were unlucky not to score when twice within the first fifteen minutes they had shots hit the post and cleared off the line. Eventually, the Lyne pressure paid off with a goal in the 22nd minute when a shot rebounded off Alexander to two unmarked Lyne forwards . Reeves continued to compete for the ball with both Joshes trying very hard and Darren showing a lot of composure on the left of the defence. In the dying minutes of the match Lyne snatched a third goal and then Ryan almost scored a second for Reeves but his shot slowed down on a heavy pitch and allowed a Lyne defender to clear it off the line.
Final score 3-1

Reeves Rangers Blue Vs Finchampstead Royals
A competitive match played in a good spirit with Adam scoring his second hat trick of the season for Reeves.
1st Half
The match started briskly with Finchampstead looking the more confident team. Reeves weathered the initial pressure and began to play their way into the game by keeping a high defensive line and reducing the space in the midfield. On the occasions when Finchampstead managed to beat the offside trap, Alexander was alert, in goal and able to close down the oncoming forward. As the game progressed, Reeves looked more threatening and had a number of attacks. However after 17 minutes, a breakaway allowed Finchampstead the opportunity to score the first goal of the match. Despite a spirited defence and a number of attacks, Reeves found themselves conceding a second goal in the 27th minute. From that restart, Reeves pressed the Finchampstead goal and were rewarded with a goal in the last minute of the half with Adam beating three defenders in a goal mouth scramble to score.
2nd Half
Reeves had a very lively start the second half with the midfield creating a number of passing moves. This allowed Josh to go on a series of attacking runs down the right wing. This pressure was rewarded in the 4th minute of the half when Adam latched onto a loose ball in the area to shoot past the keeper and even the score. At this point Reeves were on top but Finchampstead fought their way back into the match to take control of the midfield. This gave Finchampstead the platform they were looking for and allowed their forwards to mount a series of dangerous attacks which resulted in three further goals. Although under pressure, Reeves did not let their heads go down and half way through the second half attacked down the left wing. Adam raced through the centre of the park in support, checking his run a number of times to stay on side. The pass from the wing found Adam who from 12 yards out turned and fired a super shot into the back of the net to score Reeves third goal and his hat trick. This gave Reeves a new lease of life but despite a number of goal mouth incidents at either end, the match finished 3 – 5 to Finchampstead.
Final Score: 3 - 5

Reeves Rangers Blues vs Arborfield Apaches
Great to see that for the first time in several weeks, Blues were able to field a full team of 11 players. Special mention to Alexander, who despite coming into the game with a knock to his ankle, played the whole game in goal and made some fine saves.
1st Half
Blues had much of the ball in the first 10 minutes only to find a quick breakaway from Arborfield against the run of play resulted in a nice finish and a lead of 1-0 to the home team.
Blues continued to pressure for the remainder of the first half with a couple of shots flying wide and some excellent defensive play.
Half Time score 1-0
2nd Half
Blues continued to pressure before finally making a breakthrough midway through the half with an excellent run and well taken shot by Ryan for the Blues first GOAL of the game. Arborfield then applied a lot more pressure with some good saves made by the goalkeeper and excellent defensive play ensuring that Arborfield didn’t score again. With around 2 minutes left Alex pressured the Arborfield defence with an excellent run and shot which was blocked by a defenders hand – Penalty to the blues. Unfortunately the Blues went wide with the penalty and despite some magnificent pressure in the closing minutes were unable to break the deadlock.
Final score 1-1
A well battled draw for the Blues although one couldn’t help thinking that we could have taken three points from the game.
